Wort aeartion
Wort aeration and yeast pitching are two critical steps in the brewing process. A controlled wort aeration as well as accurate yeast pitching will lead to consistent fermentations and therefore ensure a constant product quality. Process Description: The NORIT technology and experience in carbon dioxide handling is used for the wort aeration in order to ensure a perfect dosing and bubble free absorption of the oxygen into the wort. The pitching of yeast - from the yeast storage or/and from the yeast propagation - in the wort to the desired yeast concentration in wort will be done through an accurate control between the wort flow and yeast flow or weight depending on the customers requirements. Static mixers will ensure an optimal mixture between yeast and wort. Product description: The wort aeration/yeast pitching unit will be placed between the wort cooling and the fermentation tanks. Its flexible, sanitary and fully automated design - based on PLC technology - will ensure a high reliability and a long lifetime, in which it will meet, all the requirements of the brewery and its process conditions. Yeast pitching and Wort Aeration can also be operated/delivered as a stand alone operating unit. |
