Norit likes making available to customers its thirty years of experience in the area of membrane and process technology. With this in mind, Norit has developed a saries of programmes and tools with which customers can make use of the expertise of the company. This creates the conditions for running an installation reliably and economically. Through deploying Norit know-how, a shorter start-up time can be realised, personnel learn how to make the right choice in the event of a malfunction and the installation is assured for a long time.

Qualified personnel make repairs, ensuring the availability of the system in this way. Norit can charge for this maintenance on the basis of hours worked and material used. It is also possible to do this on the basis of a contract. An additional Norit service is teleservice. Via a data link, the data is fed into our support department. The data are analysed with the aim of optimising the use and the length of life of the process equipment. On the basis of this data, Norit can advise on process control and cleaning methods. The necessary changes can also be estimated at an early stage. So teleservice provides the customer with continuous support in the process by Norit experts. Thanks to the data link, this advice is always based on the most recent information. Norit has a helpdesk that is available for malfunctions in a product or an entire installation. The customer can choose one of two different possibilities: telephone helpdesk support or 24-hour emergency service.
 


Automation
  

Within the Automation department a group of experienced software engineers with process related knowledge is responsible for the following activities:

- functional and detailed design
- implementation and testing of software
- site commissioning and start-up
- training
- service & support

Projects are executed using many different hardware platforms for PLC, SCADA and Operator Panels. Our internal engineering tools, for the design of structured software, which is conform ISA S88.01 standard, are equipped for the following systems:

PLC: Siemens, Allen Bradley
SCADA: iFIX
Control system: Proleit - Brewmaxx, Braumat
Operator panel: Siemens OP/TP-170, AB Panelview 550

Because the software structure is standardised within NPT projects, we are able to provide cost effective solutions. Our software code generator creates project specific PLC/SCADA application software. Field proven control and equipment modules are available for different types of applications. Batch units & operations with recipes will be developed conform the project requirements. NPT has a standard recipe application program available, which is used in a lot of projects within the beverage industry.
A group of experienced E/I engineers is responsible for the complete set-up of the I/O list and the selection of the required field instruments. The electrical design of the MCC cabinets, control- and fieldpanels are engineered conform industrial and client specific standards.
