In Ulyanovsk, a Russian city on the Volga River, 893 km east form Moscow; Norit Process Technology is involved in the realization of a Greenfield brewery for SABMiller.  The annual 3 million hectoliters capacity of the new brewery is a significant extension of SABMiller’s brewing capacity in the emerging Russian market.

In this project Norit Process Technology acts as a system integrator for the complete part in between wort handling and the Bright Beer Tank section. Fermenting, lagering, filtration up to the fillers, it is all designed, automated and installed by Norit Process Technology. A lot of the latest Norit Technology will be implemented in this brewery, such as Norit Südmo valve-technology and Norit Haffmans’ CO₂ - O₂ management, CO₂ recovery systems and water deaeration technology utilizing membranes. This project is a clear example of Norit’s state-of-the-art brewing technology and Norit Process Technology’s strength as an overall integrator.
